Extra blankets were provided for the cold nights as well as binoculars and a bird book. The box of children’s books and games were also appreciated by our 3 young boys. As were the lanterns and maps! Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and a lovely warm shower were all excellent and the view was just magical. We loved the chorus of sheep too! Separate toilet and kitchen area for each camp which was ideal and we even had full phone signal up there! Full of history, character, antique furniture and ornaments, modern kitchen, massive TV, walk in shower, comfy beds. Dining room would be great for Christmas. We thoroughly enjoyed the lovely wood-burning fireplace, especially after a couple of wet and windy walks to the waterfall. The shower was fabulous - such great water pressure! The house was well equipped, including the kitchen (the fridge was on the small side to hold food for 6 adults for 4 days). It really is huge and full of interesting nooks and crannies. We loved staying there and really appreciated the host putting the heating on full plus providing extra blankets and dressing gowns given the freezing weather outside. The kitchen was really spacious and well equipped with a great old Aga which took my back a bit. Thoroughly enjoyed staying there and taking advantage of the fabulous walking nearby.
