Most hikers on the Menalon trail skip Zygovisti - I think this is a great shame, as it's one of the most welcoming little villages I've ever encountered. The house is in the middle of "upper Zygovisti", which means you're immersed in an environment of beautiful mountain and forest views. The house was extremely well stocked with tea, coffee, oranges, fresh local eggs etc. Special bonus was a bottle of local Tsipourou which was really delicious.

Great views of the mountain and valley from the balcony. The apartment was easy to locate with convenient parking on site. We were kept warm and comfortable with a good heating system and the kitchen was well-equipped. The host and her mother-in-law were helpful and accommodating.

I would recommend staying at this apartment before going to a Hotel. A big apartment with excellent facilities. Very close the the main square, shops and a variety of food outlets. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.
