We stayed at Quinta d'Abegoa's apartment, Casa do Souto, which is very cosy and ideal for two people. Everything is really well thought out so the apartment felt bigger than it actually was. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is excellent. The outside space is beautiful - we loved sitting out, listening to the birds and the bells from the sheep, while enjoying the views of the both the castle and over towards the mountains and Spain. We made the most of being able to walk to restaurants in Marvao (although it is uphill all the way!) but we also cooked at the property - the kitchen is tiny but is very well-equipped and has everything you need to self-cater. Our host, Rosa, looked after us extremely well, bringing us breakfast every day, and nothing was too much trouble. We love the area around Marvao and will definitely return for another stay at Casa do Souto.

Absolutely loved the location. Every single little detail was thought through, everything that you could possibly need was available throughout all the rooms. Cleanliness was impeccable, nothing to complain about. The beds were extremely comfortable and we liked the touch of having different pillows for different preferences. The house was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Loved the pool table. Perfect little piece of heaven. Perfect to seek some peace and quiet. Friendly hosts and easy check in. Great communication.

Absolutely perfect! The house is so beautiful and comfortable! The front of the house is all in glass, with a breathtaking panoramic view! I's so cosy and all the details made us felt so welcomed. Every bedroom had its own bath, the beds were super comfortable. You have stunning views from every room. There was a lot of space. Outside, the house has an amazing private terrace, so comfortable to relax and enjoy the view! The sense of peace we feel there is unique. Irene is an excellent hostess and made us feel so welcome! We loved everything and we want to come back!

The property itself is really beautiful. The room is very spacious, equipped with everything you would need and spotless. The owners (Antonio & Soledad) are a lovely couple, very welcome and the breakfast they prepare is out of this world. Soledad was suoer kind with our two kids, showing them around the trees, the animals, ... I would highly recommend to stay and relax here.

Carlos hosted me perfectly! the place was super easy to find..I came with Uber, so I did not need any Parking services. The Patio was soooo relaxing and the apt. was super clean, quiet and comfy. I'd definitely recommend it to friends

    We loved our stay in the Casas da Murta. The house was a little outside town and so quiet. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a coffee machine and pods. The fresh bread delivered every morning was a lovely bonus. While it was too cold for a swim, my daughters enjoyed dipping their feet in the pool while I enjoyed a tea on the verandah. Beds were very comfortable. Overall we had a great stay and hope to visit again in the future.

    The chic design, furniture and equipment made for a very luxurious and relaxing stay. We loved the large beds, the immaculate and well stocked kitchen, and the gorgeous views. The pool in the two bedroom house is bigger than the picture and kept us cool during some exceptionally warm days. The sail shade and welcome gifts were much appreciated. Loved it & really hope to return.

    The house is a beautifully renovated old barn. It's really as nice as the photos look! The pool is really nice. Nice to sit out and enjoy the garden. Well-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed meeting Goa the dog. Very peaceful.

    Fabulous location within the town walls, free car parking less than a minutes walk from the apartment. Very spacious and comfortable, kitchen well equipped. Great view of countryside from the balcony. Hosts were very friendly and we had a lot of laughs trying to communicate with google translate! 😂 Hosts left us a sample of a cherry liqueur, delicious 😋
