It was so cosy and comfortable, the kids wanted to stay longer. Unfortunately we had to leave early the next morning but Glenare on Read will definitely be our first choice the next time we're in Horsham. This is a 10/10 property.

The bed was very very comfortable and the heating worked wonderfully even though it was a cold day outside. The old milk bar has been done up a treat and this was the most interesting and different accommodation we have had. It is simply fantastic. We would very highly recommend to anyone, and particularly with a couple of children as there is much to occupy them there.

Whilst the kitchen was more dated, it had all the amenities you could possibly need and we cooked several dinners there! Our family also enjoyed the proximity to nature and wildlife and the reasonably close distance the accommodation site was to town should you choose to walk.

Especially loved the BBQ grill, fireplace, bathtub and cosy living room.

It’s within walking distance to the main sights and eateries in Ararat (not a big city anyway). The rooms were clean and spacious, with practical facilities (functional and not elaborate). The bed was big enough to fit two adults and two kids. The owner was also nice and friendly, giving us recommendations on where to visit and eat. I’ll consider staying here again when I visit the next time.
