There is a Saturday market next to the playground (which our toddler loved). Another playground about 30 minutes stroll around the lake. There are easily a weeks worth of enjoyable day trips. Supermarkets around the corner, which the Swiss seem to love. Kitchen is excellent. Note: We restarted the internet box when we arrived because it was running sluggishly, worked fast after that.

Apartment was about 15 minutes "enjoyable and scenic" walk to Lugano's centre and very close to the lake, other facilities like a Migros supermarket was nearby too.
