The owner of the apartment is extremely friendly and welcoming, the room is clean and bright, had all necessary equipment, overall felt really comfortable staying here, which is very precious, especially for a solo-traveling woman. The location of the apartment is also very convenient, the neighborhood is pretty nice and quiet, subway station is in a walkable distance and there are a lot of convenient stores and a mall nearby. I would definitely recommend to stay there:)

Friendly and helpful staff. Gave us mosquito repellent and spray for itchy skin before we went on walks. Gave excellent restaurant recommendations. A very thoughtfully designed hotel. Clean rooms. A very satisfying breakfast with a variety of local dishes. Located near Lingyin Temple so traffic might be busy. But the accommodation is tucked away in a village near the temple and quiet. Some very nice restaurants nearby.

We visited Hangzhou primarily for its West Lake, for which this was a good choice of location. As a scholar preparing talks for Shanghai, the small study with its ample table was indispensable. Not only was host Yan very responsive in issues regarding her apartment, she guided us throughout our stay even on non-related matters. Given the language barrier, she booked the taxi for our departure to the railway station. Even before we left Chicago, she was helping me with the Chinese translation of the abstract of my talk. So, we left Hangzhou knowing we now had a permanent friend there to whom we could return. You may want to get to know Yan not only as a host but as a creative writer and engaging conversationalist.

Offrant une vue sur la montagne, l’établissement 安吉 小森林 Little Forest Anji vous accueille à Anji. La chambre familiale est top et le lieu super sympa. Très vert et reposant. Le gérant a été vraiment top durant le séjour et a pris du temps pour nous réserver des billets de train alors que c’était mal engagé car c’était les vacances. Super spot qu’on recommande. The family room is great and the place super nice. Very green and relaxing. The manager was really great during the stay and took the time to book us train tickets even though it was off to a bad start because it was the holidays. Great spot that we recommend.
