The Mango guest house was an incredible and authentic experience in Elephantine Island. The staff, the facilities and the settings were fantastic. The staff arranged everything what we asked for: a car from Luxor, a trip to Abu Simbel, food delivery and a felucca sailing trip. It’s not for everybody, though. If you’re a 5-star hotel frequent visitor, this is not for you.

Everything was perfect. The location was really nice. Abu was very friendly and help us to book tours and transfers at very good prices. The room was very clean and spacious. Also the food was the best we had in Aswan. Also the two boys named Mohnamed and Abdul were very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. We recommend Abu guest house to everyone visiting Aswan.

I will forever be grateful and thankful for how the management and staff of this hotel treated my wife and her mother. My 8 month pregnant wife and her mother fled gun fire on a 25+ hour bus ride from Khartoum to aswan . They were held at the border for several hours . The hotel pushed our dates and checked them in late . They were very hospitable. I recommend this hotel for families, their attention to details for your needs is very professional.

Absolutely everything. The location on the island with a view on the nile and the city in the back is just incredible. Without the sounds of cars and the usual late opened businesses it feels like an oasis within a city and so different than the rest of egypt. While a short ferry ride away the busy city of Aswan awaits with all its sights, the breakfast on the terasse with feluccas passing by on the river is reason alone to come here. We felt very welcome by the local nubian people and could experience their way of life as we felt like guests of the whole village. Especially Reko way an excellent host, who organized many trips for us and made sure we had everything we need. The guesthouse even had a kitchen and a little shop next doors, but there are many restaurants on the island with good food so you probably won't need to cook. This place is the perfect base to explore the south of egypt while also just relaxing on tbe nile.

The place and staff were awesome. You will feel at home. It is super-clean. The manager of the place, Amira, is so friendly and helpful. Wifi is strong and available for free. They offer the best and most economic food within the island, but you have to order in advance. The housekeepers, Ayat, Rehab and Youssef were very friendly too.
