The host was very helpful and quick with communication. The apartment has a good kitchen with items to prepare a meal. We loved having tea and coffee provided. It was fantastic that there was heating.

Great location and super stylish. It is one of the nicest places we've stayed during our month long trip in Italy. Good breakfast provided at a nearby bar. Our host Angelo went above and beyond to accomodate our early arrival. Communication was prompt and helpful. Everything was great. We would give 11/10 if we could.

We booked this accommodation at short notice, we arrived in a thunderstorm with touring bikes. booking.com had screwed up where we were supposed to be staying and did the same thing here. Thankfully the host was absolutely brilliant. He opened up extra facilities for us that fully met our requirements. He let us store our bikes securely and he is a genuinely nice, humerous friendly person. In the morning he made sure that our bikes were readily available for us and wished us well for our onward journey. Things could have gone much worse, thanks to the poor systems of booking.com, thankfully there are nice, helpful people, like our host, who seem happy to help.

We stayed for 2 nights during a 3 week tour of Tuscany. The apartment was spotlessly clean and right in the centre of Marta perfect for touring around the lake

Casa Maddalena was our FAVORITE place we stayed on our 2 week honeymoon in Italy. What a gem! Sparklingly clean, super quiet, well appointed with everything we could need, and a sweet view of the lake and passersby on the sidewalk below. I loved the blackout curtains and slept sooo well here. Marta feels extremely safe and this building was very nicely maintained. As an American who aspires to speak Italian more fluently, I loved Marta and its local feel. I don't think I heard any English spoken :) A peaceful sanctuary after a day of driving on our road trip. We stayed 3 nights and could have stayed even more. We especially loved the proximity to all of Marta's restaurants, and the little gelateria down below and Il Salotto for morning cappuccinos. Oh and the fruit and veg shop across the street! Complete perfection.

A perfect accommodation that pulls you out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The old town of Calcata is very small, beautiful, and full of charm. Everything is just a few minutes’ walk from the accommodation. Surprisingly, there are plenty of dining options in the area. Everyone we met was very kind. The view is breathtaking. The bed is comfortable, and the apartment is well-equipped and tastefully furnished. Perfect.
