We arrived at Casa do Vale for one night, mainly to see the forts in the nearby town. This is a rural and isolated accommodation complex, very quiet, clean and well-kept, the owner of the property helped us a lot to find the place, the rooms were beautiful and well-decorated. The complex has a pool, but it was too cold to go in and the valley where the complex is located is simply picturesque and stunning. warmly recommended.

The host Eduardo was super friendly, very kind and generous and we had a beautiful gift basket of local and homemade treats as well as fruit waiting for us when we arrived. Eduardo met us personally to welcome us and give us the key and had many suggestions of interesting sites and nature hikes, since we were staying for eight days. We found the location so charming and beautifully situated, just around the corner from the castle walls on a quaint and quiet cobbled street, festooned with pots of flowers. The apartment was roomy and comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed with pots and dishes for self catering. We had a fantastic stay!

The hosts are amazing they were at the house as we arrived. They are incredibly kind and supplied us with eggs, bread, cake, a basket of veggies, cheese and wine. The house is in a quiet pastural landscape. We enjoyed the outside fire and all the area had to offer. This is our second time staying and it was exceptional.
