The best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, always greeting you with a smile — something you truly appreciate after a five-hour journey. The rooms are stunning, with a magical atmosphere and a breathtaking view of the castle. Honestly, the price feels almost too low for what the hotel offers. You can also book tickets for both castles directly through them, and they’ll hand them to you the next morning — super convenient. They offer the possibility to dine at their restaurant as well. We arrived too late for dinner, but they still prepared a tasting platter for two with sausages, cured meats, cheese, cherry tomatoes, and plenty of their delicious homemade bread. We couldn’t even finish it! Breakfast was absolutely outstanding — calling it “complete” would be an understatement. All in all, highly recommended. If I had to point out a flaw, it would be the flies — they’re everywhere. But hey, we still haven’t figured out how to control insect minds, so…

We stayed in a room on the top floor and had views of the castle on one side and the other through a rooftop window. Magical! The shower heads were fantastic, with a high pressure option for tired muscles. The breakfast was served at our own table in the little dining room, with a boiled egg, cold cuts, cheeses, cherry tomatoes as well as yoghurt and cornflakes. The bread was exceptional. super soft and crusty every morning. we would definitely stay again, as it was also super close to all the attractions. we also really appreciate the host, who was helpful and very friendly.

Staff is very welcome. They speak fluent English so no problem for all your needs. The position is exceptionally cool, close to the castles and possible parking. The restaurant in the hotel is very nice.

Everything! Very clean, great location, had everything I needed and more! Excellent value for money. Host was excellent, provided plenty of information, free bus pass, discounted meal, and etc.

This Hotel is located directly next to the scenic Forggensee Lake, just 14 km from Neuschwanstein Castle. Seehotel und Appartements Schnöller offers a sauna with lake views and a garden.

The view! Just superb. We could not see the Castle from our balcony, but still the lake and mountains were gorgeous and we could see everyrhing from the private beach. We really appreciated the beach equipment available and the little playground for kids. The room was very spacious with enough room for the family to stay for a week or longer. The kitchen had all the equipment needed and enough cutlery and plates that we did not have to wash everything immediately after one meal. The bed was comfy, everything was clean and the liitle welcome present was also a nice touch. We really enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay at Das Konig Ludwig. The staff were very polite and helpful, the breakfast was delicious. They had a good variety of cheese, fruit, yogurt, breads, fresh squeezed juice, a spectacular variety of teas, and many healthy options. The hotel was very clean, the beds comfortable and the shower had very good water pressure. No wifi issues throughout the property. The spa and pool areas were well kept and the towels were plentiful. We cannot wait to go back.

Simply a fantastic location - the most historical center, the windows overlook the courtyard, so it is very quiet Very cozy, there is even a small dishwasher under the sink Peter allowed me to leave the car in the free parking lot until the evening on the day of departure.
