Everything! The most loveliest hosts, felt really like spending the stay in their family. Since vegan dinner options were rare in Iiyama, the host lady prepared a vegan vegetable stew and tofu as a side dish just for me and we had dinner together at their family kitchen table. ♡ Though communicating in English was a bit difficult, the 3 of them made an immense effort to communicate with me via Google translate - loved and enjoyed learning more about Iiyama, their life and Japanese culture so much! Also, met their lovely daughter Natsumi again by accident in Nozawa at Haus St. Anton a few days later which was lovely! :) Thank you for everything!!!

Perfect ski lodge for our large family. The owners were very hospitable and quick to respond to our questions and needs. We took ski and snowboard lessons with Sam, Taki, and Kotone at Nozawa and Togari, and as it turns out Taki’s wife is a world class baker who cooked up the best breakfast buns this side of the Pacific. I had an excellent skiing vacation at this homestay in Nozawa Onsen. From the moment I checked in, I could feel the meticulous service. The rooms are well - equipped, and the heating is sufficient, allowing me to rest comfortably after a day of skiing. The location of the homestay is perfect, being very close to both the ski resort and the hot spring, which makes getting around extremely convenient. Moreover, the homestay provides a considerate luggage storage service, allowing me to enjoy my skiing time without any burden. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to friends who come to ski in Nozawa Onsen. It offers high cost - effectiveness and an amazing experience!
