Built in 1865 and restored in 1902, Otira Stagecoach Hotel is situated in the heart of the Arthur's Pass National Park. It offers antiques throughout as well as stagecoaches and horse wagons outside.

All rooms features unique, restored furniture of the era. High beds, radios, tall windows and heating are provided. Guests enjoy views of the snow capped mountains. Incredible place - a destination in and of itself. Booked and ate there as it was the only place available, but (as advertised) it's the most interesting place you'll ever stay, the food is good (and huge portions) and the surroundings are quiet and beautiful.
