Our suite was spacious, bright and airy. It was tastefully furnished and decorated. There was lots of storage space - wardrobe, shelves and drawers. The hosts had thought of everything.

We arrived after the hotel restaurant had closed. We phoned reception on the way to let them know we would be late. They kept some food warm for us; when we arrived, the owner (?) set a little table for us and served us a delicious 3 course vegetarian meal, chatting good-humouredly all the time. Great customer service! Breakfast was very generous (and delicious). Hotel location is excellent: very close to central La Bourboule.

This 19th-century hotel is located in the centre of beautiful Mont Dore, and makes a wonderful base for exploring the Massif du Sancy.

Beautiful 19th century spa town hotel, with its own spa. Moderate sized room with a nice (if not large) bathroom. The views of the surrounding mountains are beautiful and the beds very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the manageress, who speaks good English. There is also a large, quiet garden, with plenty of furniture, and lovely views.

the manager of the property was fanatstic.any questions were delt with imediately.we accidently left a damp coat to dry near a radiator which marked the radaitor.we expained what had happened & offered to pay for the damage but the manager would not allow us to pay.remarkable in these current times.many thanks again

Beautiful hotel in stunning location, exterior view is amazing. Staff were the best. Common areas are great. Rooms could do with slight up date but that is the only slight criticism.

Breakfast was good! Open buffet with a variety of sweet and savoury things :) Restaurant is delicious - food was excellent and the bedrooms were clean and comfy.

Everything was amazing. The thought that had gone into the style and decor was incredible. The garden and pool was just amazing, for an ancient property in the centre of town. It was peaceful and relaxing. Our room was lovely, with a separate sleeping area for the children. The food was delicious; and made more enjoyable by all the guests sitting at a huge dining table.
