The hotel is please to offer CHI, The Spa, as well as a superbly equipped Fitness Centre, indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam bath, whirlpool, and massage facilities. The gymnasium is equipped with an array of cardiovascular equipment along with satellite television screens. The hotel presents nearly 8,000 square metres of versatile event space, including 12 function rooms ranging in size from 47 square metres to 510 square metres with professional audio-visual facilities. The two pillar-free Grand Ballrooms can accommodate approximately 1,500 people and 1,700 people, respectively, for cocktail parties. The hotel is great. This is the first hotel where I could not find any faults with the room and the bathroom. They thought about everything! The attention to detail is amazing. For eg; I always complain about not having enough hooks to hang towels; not in this hotel. I always gripe about not having enough space to lay out the toiletries; not in this hotel. They even have a small shelf over the toilet paper holder to place your phone or whatever. I always gripe about having a bath tub without a glass enclosure or curtain which leads to water going everywhere; not here. They have a bath tub and a separate shower. So no problem with water running everywhere. They even have small holder in the closet to put your ties! Talk about attention to detail! The hotel is in a great location within a few steps to the TV tower and other attractions. It is also an easy walk across to the “bund” on the other side of the river from here (more on the bund in another post). There are also two shopping malls just a few steps away for your shopping needs. The metro is also a very short 5 mins walk which takes you to from/to airport. Line 2 is a direct route from airport to Lujiazui area where the hotel is located. Most of the metro stations have elevators and escalators so it’s very convenient even if you have large luggage. The fare is 8 Yuan per person; unbelievable cheap and the trip takes about 35mins (more on the metro in another post). The staff at the hotel were great and always greeted me every time I walked by the lobby and in the elevator and very helpful. Even though not everyone spoke English, most of them knew some basic English to help you with your needs. However, for more detailed or complex discussions, you most probably have to look for someone who is fluent in English. But there’s always someone around. The place is very clean and well maintained except the carpets in the rooms may need to be replaced. They were not bad but looked worn out.

Set in Shanghai and within 400 metres of Jin Mao Tower, J Hotel, Shanghai Tower - Above All Else, Overlooking the Bund features a bar, allergy-free rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a fitness centre, as well as an indoor pool and a sauna. The accommodation offers room service, a 24-hour front desk and currency exchange for guests. I stayed in the J hotel for three nights. It was an amazing experience. It exceeds my expectations for a hotel in all aspects. I strongly believe that whoever travels to Shanghai, as long as financially capable, staying in this hotel is a must. Otherwise, the trip to Shanghai would not be considered complete, and you will regret it.

Each room is equipped with luxury branded mattresses, 55-inch flat screen TVs, goose down and feather quilt, coffee machines, branded stereo.

Hotel also has a fitness center, a SPA center, an indoor swimming pool, a spa massage pool and sauna rooms. Breakfast was exceptionally good, great variety with fresh items, vegetables, and eggs, and plates that were tastefully crafted,, was something to look forward to every morning

Our stay at The St. Regis Shanghai was absolutely perfect. Special thanks to Butler Yan, who provided outstanding service — attentive, thoughtful, and made us feel truly at home. The hotel is beautiful, luxurious, and every detail exceeded our expectations. We would love to return!

The W Shanghai has amazing views of the Bund, and the city itself, making it difficult to leave the room when staring at the horizon. Facilities were amazing and diverse, with pool, whirlpool/jacuzzi, restaurants, clubs and bars. Room was clean and spacious, with all of the amenities needed.
