Featuring wellness facilities including an indoor pool, this family-run, 4-star-Superior hotel in Kiel offers rooms and free WiFi. The personnel is very friendly and did some extra effort to let us check in early. The room was quite spacious and has airconditioning. The bathroom was good and the beds were good. Coffee/tea in the room, and a refrigerator, all very convenient. The TV is good and the wifi works well. The wellness area is a beautiful resort with lots of possibilities. The swimming pool is also beautiful with a view to thin inner court. And the breakfast is excellent, with waffles and omelets made to order, and an extensive amount of choices.

The apartments Waldesruh (half-timber house) are 3-stars-standard. Apartments Waldesruh is an annex building to the Hotel Birke (50 m). The rooms are not barrier-free. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to help out. The highlight was absolutely the breakfast, which was one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had.

This hotel is located directly on the harbour, just 100 metres away from the sandy Baltic Sea beach. Acqua Strande GmbH & Co KG features a spa area with sauna and gym as well as free WiFi. The views were spectacular—it was truly a beach hotel. Large bright rooms.
