The estate offers 2 outdoor swimming pools and a spa for an extra charge. the staff were so helpful and welcoming and went out of their way to help organise a taxi for me when there was a train strike! The restaurant food was wonderful, as was the pool. Breakfast on the terrace was delightful. A delightful spot to stay for a couple of nights.

The brand new spa, available on demand at extra cost, features a Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, salt cave and solarium, as well as a hot tub and shower outdoors, plus a relax area with buffet. Massages are also available on request. Beautiful hotel! Only stayed there one night but wish we could stay longer. Comfortable and clean room, had everything we needed - the stunning view from our window in the morning was a super bonus. Rich and tasty breakfast. *Extra points for the wonderful staff we met in the morning, especially the girl helping with breakfast- so sweet and polite. Well done!! Even the restaurant on the ground floor, although it doesn't belong to the hotel, was really convenient to visit when we arrived at night time (and the food delicious!), so added to the experience. Villa Romantica Wellness & SPA is located in an Art Nouveau building near the ancient walls in Lucca. All rooms have free Wi-Fi access, an LCD TV, and DVD player.

The medieval centre is a 5-minute walk away from Villa Romantica Wellness & SPA. The location is near Lucca old city and the staff are very kind. If you take the room upstairs is a little trick to carry your bags but not a big problem.

The wellness centre is provided a complete experience with ergonomic thermal tubs, temperate saline pool, Kneipp vascular path, external panoramic sauna, cold reaction pool, chromotherapy sauna, infrared sessions, thermal steam grotto and fountain ice (indoor/outdoor thermal pool closed on Thursday and in June ). Our Spa offers different kind of massages and relaxing or beauty treatments, as well as natural mud baths. The staff were exceptional, the facility full service, and the hot springs delightful.

From Natale in the restaurant to Sergio driving, were fantastic. We travelled with a 10yr and 8yr old and they were made to feel so welcome.
