The hotel staff was very helpful and polite. The onsen was very enjoyable.Their breakfast buffet had many options, and I was happy to find a selection of local dishes.

However, I was impressed by the level of thought that went into every facet of our stay, from the room's views to the design touches, furnishings, and standard amenities. The food in general was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was especially exceptional. There was a variety of Japanese, Chinese, and Continental/American style items, but the quality of the local Hokkaido produce and ingredients put it over the top. We ate at two restaurants, an Italian and Japanese grill, as well as the Lobby dining area. All three were fantastic. Their pool and Onsen were modern, spotless, and had plenty of towels (a pet peeve). The service was remarkable as well. Any issues we encountered were dealt with immediately and without any pushback.

The staff were professional and organized, allowing us to stay in their lobby with a scenic view of the snow, river, and mountains while we waited for check in. We were provided with local snacks and drinks and our room was ready 30 minutes early. The dinner was delicious and well-portioned, favorites being the steamed rockfish and pumpkin brûlée. Staff were attentive throughout the meal and offered to refill our rice whenever we were out. The rooms were spacious, clean, and stylish. We booked the suite with a private onsen and it was wonderful to soak and watch the snow fall outside. The staff also helped us reserve our taxi to the airport after check out and the overall process was very smooth.

Guests staying at Vessel Hotel Campana Susukino have access to the on-site wellness area which includes a sauna. Public bath is wonderful. There is even free ice after the bath. The small stand in the lobby that sells drinks and fruits till late night is just great. The weighing scale locates in the lobby can be handy when preparing luggage for the next flight. The laundry facility is great and cheap. We washed and dried our clothes several times during our stay. We used airporter to ship our luggage from and to the airport and that went smooth with the help of the front desk staff. Location is great as there is a Shiden station right next to it.
