The Royal Island Resort & Spa is a 30-minute wheeled aircraft ride from Malé International Airport. A mandatory transfer is provided by the resort, and charges are to be paid upon arrival. Absolutely stunning. Every villa is private and super comfy and on the beach. I preferred the ones without a pool in front because their snorkeling is better right in front of your villa. Located in Finolhus in the Baa Atoll Region, 15 km from Baa Atoll, Kiha beach features an outdoor pool and views of the sea. The hotel has a barbecue and a private beach area, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant.

Certain units have a seating area where you can relax. A flat-screen TV and minibar is featured. Extras include a hairdryer and towels. Room was big and cosy. Ocean and beach were wonderful, a lot of fish near the beach. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Handhuvaru specialises in rum tasting, while Aqua Bar, located near the kids’ club, serves poolside drinks and light meals for all ages. We LOVED Reethi Beach! It’s incredibly beautiful! Denise the manager is amazing and so are Hud and Amu in the dive shop, Nadish at the main bar and last but not least the so fun, so warm Rauhl at the Sunset Bat! Such a magic place!

Overwater villas are located directly over the reef with incredible marine life underneath (snorkeling felt like Windows screen saver :). On the scale from 1 to 10 I give them 11! Hotel staff are very very welcoming and helping with everything needed. Massage is good. Chief in restaurants cooking great when you ask him individual preferences.
