We were just driving through so we only stayed one night, but I would love to return for longer. I think it would make a great base to explore the Douro. The room was spacious and simple. Great linens, lovely bath products. The pool is stunning with a view of the valley. Big, well-appointed fitness center. Gorgeous spa (that I didn't have time to use, sadly.) Fantastic restaurant-- we enjoyed dinner and breakfast, and both were quite good.

We really enjoyed the hotel's spa area. The staff were professional, attentive and friendly. However, what impressed us most was design of the hotel. Amazing.

The beds were super comfortable. There is everything in the kitchen you need to create a lovely meal. This was very welcome after weeks of travelling I enjoyed being able to prepare delicious food for my family.

You hear the birds, you see birds flying, you hear the river. The swimming pool is amazing. The water was a perfect temperature to refresh without being too cold. This is a perfect getaway from city life. The hosts are so welcoming and eager to help. They encourage guests to ask for what they need and they are extremely accommodating. For instance, we had the privilege to choose our room and during breakfast they asked us if we wanted eggs made in any way we liked.

Lavandeira Douro Nature & Wellness also provides an indoor pool and a sauna for guests to relax in. The area is popular for hiking, and bike hire is available at the accommodation. An indoor play area is also available at Lavandeira Douro Nature & Wellness, while guests can also relax in the garden. Simply amazing! Outstanding service and food.

Guests can participate in the farm’s activities. Those looking for relaxation can use the hot tub overlooking the valley. Indulge yourself with the variety of therapies available at the Spa. There are events rooms available. My partner and I were lucky to have the entire hotel and spa for ourselves before a big holiday weekend. The staff is so lovely and made us feel so welcome at at home. The spa was cozy with a sauna, hot jacuzzi and turkish bath, and the staff even filled the entire spa with candles for us. The outdoor pool was cold and perfect for cold dips in the rain (strongly recommend this!). After the spa we had a 3-course dinner with delicious homemade dishes and local wine. The restaurant is like a restaurant / living room with a little bar, pool table, fire place, sofas etc. The facilities were great, we really loved this. Our room was beautiful and with a balcony facing the greenery outside, and you could even hear the stream. To finish off our stay we got an amazing big breakfast, just for the two of us! We really got a 5* treatment here. Loved the location near to Lamego, and yet in a calm place on the countryside. Thank you so much, we will be back!
