Black Rhino Game Lodge offers spacious, well-appointed accommodation situated in Pilanesberg, 33 km from Sun City. Free WiFi is provided and free parking is available on site. We were supposed to do a game drive at 16.30 but we were traveling from Pretoria and our ETA was too close to the drive time. We informed them about our ETA and they arranged to move our game drive to 17.00. All the staff were lovely and check-in was a breeze. The lodge sits on a fabulously lush property with a watering hole nearby for animal watching. Our room was very spacious and beautifully decorated, with 4(!!!) shower options AND a welcome gift basket filled with snacks, biltong, fruits and a bottle of award-winning wine. There was an endless stream of delicious food and snacks, and the chef personally greeted each table at dinner. And the highlight of our stay was the game drives with our fantastic ranger Clifford. We wish we had stayed longer and are looking forward to coming back in the future.

Everything about the experience at Umoya was exceptional. The pre-arrival communication was fantastic. The staff during our stay were incredibly helpful, friendly and seemed proud of their job. The food was top notch (thanks David and Happy!). The setting is amazing and the photos don’t do the rooms or communal spaces justice. We did two game drives over our stay and Rassie was equal parts friendly and knowledgable.

We loved everythjng about Lush! The room and common areas were just perfect, the food and drinks were delicious, and the staff was extremely friendly and lovely. The game drives were super fun, with stunning views and we could see 4 of the big 5, thanks to our amazing guide Andrew!! You can feel the exclusive treatment in every way… we were there for 4 nights for our honeymoon, and for each night they prepared dinner in a diferent spot of the hotel! Thanks lush team for the best experience we could have asked for!!!

Bakgatla Resort is located in the north-eastern part of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve, near the Bakgatla Gate. The resort offers an outdoor pool, restaurant and a children's playground. Quiet and peaceful location just outside of Pilanesberg. The rooms were well equipped with everything in working order. The pool was lovely.
