This place is on top of a hill, on the edge of Ruhla and you get a lovely view of the mountains and forest around. As far as I could see, there are five units (called bungalows) with private bathroom and kitchen. Ours was one of the smaller ones, perfect for a couple. The unit has all the necessary facilities, it is homey and the view is just gorgeous. There is a private terrace for each unit, plus an enclosure with a few cool-looking alpacas. You really need your own wheels as there are no shops or restaurants nearby. There is a large supermarket 5 minutes drive away.

This family-run hotel is located directly in the forest and is the perfect place for those seeking peace and quiet and nature lovers.

The location was great. The restaurant in the hotel had a nice menu as well. The beds and TV in the room are really good. The rooms are very new and modern. The staff was professional and nice.

Stunning location, clean room, staff all pleasant, terrace for evening meals and breakfast offered fantastic view of the castle and surrounding hill sides. Breakfast selection very good with plentiful choices . Evening menu very good value although there wasn't an English version available so had to rely on staff translation.

We were lucky to get a parking place, but you cannot book it and it is not for free. It is in the backyard to the hotel.
