This hotel / café / restaurant is a little gem to which I / we will certainly come back. The location is just awesome, with a fantastic garden in which some chickens and rabbits ander freely. In the back there are horses. You can sit in the sun or in the shade and have a drink or even your complete dinner (as we did). It's very relaxing. Inside the building it's just fantastic with many authentic details, it all has a very welcoming and cosy atmosphere. Dinner at night was just great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The next morning we were served a very nice breakfast - yes served, we did not have to get anything ourselves - what a luxury. I will definitely come back here, maybe even spend a few nights, just romatically together with my wife. I highly recommend this place !

A very cozy hotel that has preserved its local atmosphere. Comfortable, clean rooms, and friendly hosts always ready to help. Having a kettle in the room would make it absolutely perfect, though downstairs you have a machine with coffee, tea, various soups, and all kinds of sweets. Excellent location – right in the city center, close to Externsteine and hiking trails.

We made the reservation very late in the night and were immediately contacted by the hotel to insure us they will wait for us. Check in was very quick and easy. The room had everything you need. The location is near the city and easy to find and park.

Bar man spoke better English than me and kept the beer flowing with schnapps which is always welcome Good continental breakfast selection 10 minute walk to town or 8 euro taxi anywhere in Bad Salzuflen and they arrive within minutes Easy booking in/out Beers in fridge in corridor if bar closed and snacks/chocolate bars etc just drop euros in money box We enjoyed our stay German Christmas market was excellent Also electric car port for recharge (if needed)
