"0ld Charm" property but absolutely up to date. Located in the historical city centre, Plaza Espana, with a magic view from the hotel balcony on the Plaza and the adjacent historical Aiuntamiento building. Hotel located a short walk from the two most important landmarks in Astorga (Cathedral & Gaudi-designed Episcopal Palace) &, if you fancy, another 5 min walk to Astorga's chocolate museum. Superb & very attentive hotel staff, all speaking English ( the latter so much missing in the Spanish hospitality industry) if your Spanish is non- existent or rusty. Also at the Plaza there are always some bars open during that notorious 2 - 5 pm Spanish siesta shut- down.

We liked everything about it. It was great value for money and had everything you need for an overnight stay. The bar serves a variety of reasonably priced Plato Combinados and breakfasts. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Have stayed several times. Easy parking too.

We took a gamble on booking Hotel Gaudi because the location looked so good. We were so glad we did. I loved everything about this hotel. Staff were super helpful, decor was really fitting with the location, the rooms were clean and comfortable. We are in the restaurant and enjoyed a very nice meal. And did I mention the location? A first class place
