Remarkable medieval property located right next to Canterbury Cathedral in the old city walls. The staff were extremely courteous, friendly, and professional. I had experienced an issue with Booking.com as a result of the ongoing railways strike action in the UK and they were able to resolve it quickly at no cost to myself. The views of the cathedral and surrounding area were lovely and the concierge Monica was able to provide dining recommendations for the area. Property was clean and washrooms had excellent shower facilities with hot water. Breakfast the next morning was simple but delicious with fresh fruits, very good tea, and the best croissants and strawberry jam I’ve ever had. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Staff were all friendly - from the reception to the breakfast support. They seemed happy to be there, which makes all the difference. Breakfast was by far the best we had while travelling around the UK (I must say we usually have continental breakfast, so the options available made all the difference here). Location is also very convenient.

This place was so central and convenient for our weekend plans. We came to Canterbury with several friends and booked three rooms. Our room was on the top floor, right under the eaves and a very pretty view of the Cathedral. It was so cosy, with cute little touches for the amenities, tons of storage space (especially given the small size of the room). The breakfast was perhaps the best, as we met the staff for the first time there, and they were very kind and accommodating. Cooked us a hot breakfast on request, and there were plenty of Continental additions at the buffet side.

Location is great in centre of tiwn but down a fairly quiet side street. The guy who was on duty was very helpful, setting up parking for us. Thank you. It has the look and feel of a budget hotel but was more expensive than that.

Fantastic location, right in the heart of Canterbury. we always stay here when we visit our son in Kent. Rooms are spotless, staff always friendly and can’t complain about the breakfast which is just right. The only thing I would say is request a room away from the bar that is right next door, as they play their music loud and you can hear it from some rooms. You pay more that some budget hotels, but then a lot less than other hotels, so worth the price,
