Fairly near to family who we were visiting. Near to a barbers we made use of and a large supermarket handy for anything I forgot to bring with me. It was lovely to stay in an English pub with Hawkstone beer to try though we preferred the special bitter. Lively menu which we felt would cover all tastes. Night one we had been out at lunchtime so just had the fish platter to share , second night we both had the steak perfectly cooked to our liking. Didn’t have dessert though they looked good when served to an adjacent table !

A superb value for money hotel...Excellent, professional, friendly staff...The room was very comfortable and clean A+....Great breakfast that set you up for the day...I cannot fault this hotel on anything!...Top!...I will certainly stay there again.

Loved the room with its uneven floors and exposed beams, the history is fantastic. Very clean and well presented. Food was good and staff very friendly and helpful. All good ♥️

No to bad but can be much better,noisy very early in the morning i don't expect that toilets are communal no private like you saying on booking system, toilets and showers quite dirty around the corners skirtinboards and all the pipes coverede on dust Luke like never been wiped

My room was spacious, very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable — perfect for a restful night. The hotel itself was quiet, and the surrounding area was peaceful too, which made for a relaxing stay.

Grove B&B is a terrific place. It's a very old building with large wooden beams, and not an even floorboard anywhere. That, together with the adventurous driveway (which I wouldn't advice to use with a sports car, but even our crappy little French hire car did it just fine), added to the feeling of seclusion and remoteness, which was very relaxing. However, modern comfort like WIFI and a good shower was all there. Penny and David were extremely hospitable, breakfast was excellent, there was a comfortable lounge for relaxing after a days' worth of outings. The bed was very comfortable, I slept like a log. The Forest of Dean and the River Severn are a beautiful area.

Beautiful surroundings, and a really nicely equipped cottage. The rooms were very comfortable and the place felt homely would definitely stay again.
