The Royal Norfolk Hotel is a charming Victorian character hotel, located along the sea front in Sandgate, on the edge of Folkstone and it is conveniently close to shops, restaurants and attractions. We found the hotel owners and staff were very welcoming, creating a warm and friendly environment. The room was excellent, clean, comfortable, quiet and well-equipped.

I received a very friendly welcome. The room and ensuite bathroom were spic & span. A kettle was provided for tea and coffee. I found the bed comfortable. The location was ideal for me as I had an early Eurotunnel train booked the following morning, the drive took approx 15 minutes. I arrived late in the evening and was leaving just after 6am so parking was easy, on the street just around the corner, but it might be more of a problem for people arriving and departing during the day.

Situated just 10 minutes' drive from the Channel Tunnel Terminal, this traditional sea-facing hotel is situated on The Leas, Folkestone's cliff-top promenade.

The location was great. So close to everything. Spectacular views out to sea. Staff were so friendly. Breakfast was well worth the £8.50.

This is a superb hotel. Our room was lovely and the bathroom was a good size. Housekeeping was excellent. Customer service is exceptional. Breakfast is great. We are looking forward to our next stay.
