In reviewing the Columba Hotel, we will state in advance that we will be subjective. First our objective observation: beautifully situated in the centre of Oban, close to excellent and affordable restaurants, our bed and bathroom were top.  But the real top class was our room. Although the word room did not do our accommodation justice. At the reception Shivam had already prepared us for the surprise: we got the “executive room”. Well, the ballroom with the choice of two four-poster beds did not disappoint us. 😁 Simply an attractive hotel. Nice staff, authentic surroundings.

That was my second stay there. Love this place. Amazing view and so quiet. This is definitely a great place to escape from the city.

Don Muir Guesthouse is located in a residential area of Oban, just 5 minutes' walk from Pulpit Hill Viewing Point and 15 minutes' walk uphill from the ferry terminal and railway station.

Exceptional location, great host, everything was well prepared including some sweet treats, soda drinks, tea and coffee. Beds were comfortable and linen clean. Lobby and terrace in front of house with marvellous view is an additional value.
