Everything is PERFECT, beyound our expectations. We have visited Japan serveral times and have stayed in Ryokan before but Yoyokaku is one of the best Ryokan we have experienced. This Ryokan has history and its super beautiful in every corners. We did not booked half board and we regreted it. We only had breakfasts and that were exceptional good. We wish we could have more time, only two nights was not enough.

Everything. The cute and comfy yukata. The traditional Japanese style room had a nice retro vibe, with a traditional low table and sliding doors separating the main room from the small one with the river view. The public bath was spacious and clean. The lounge had a great variety of drinks and snacks.

Staff were lovely - really accommodating and patient of my bad Japanese. There was a bath and pyjamas. Very comfortable, the AC was easy to use. Even the hotel restaurant was nice, and good value (ideal seeing as there aren't many food options in the area)

Hotel just opend on Nov 1 a new onsen pool area for men and ladies with an outdoor onsen as well. This was announced upon our check in and we took the time to enjoy it to our entire satisfaction. Reception staff was very warm. While most Japanese speaks very little English, the gentleman at the reception was quite fluent and we had a short chat each time we returned to the hotel. Buffet breakfast offered a variety of western as well as Japanese food which was quite sufficient on quality and quantity. Ample car parking lots on the hotel side or if full just across the street.
