Opened in 2015, Das Franzl - Bett & Brot is 800 metres from the shore of Lake Wolfgang, where guests can use a lake access with a sunbathing lawn. A small alpaca farm is also on site, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. We stayed in the Tiny house. It was perfect for us and our dog, a Golden Retriever. Great views (the alpacas and the ponies included), close to the lake and the town. Excellent breakfast, also. Great experience!

By far the aspect I liked the most was how friendly the staff were, especially the people in the restaurant, Matusz, Markus and Karina (hope I spelled it right), who we've interacted with the most. They made our stay decidedly more enjoyable, especially seeing as how most of the country, in general, has a passive-aggressive attitude towards foreigners.

It offers a private beach and a free bicycle and boat rental. I liked everything! The location is amazing, secluded and calm but also has everything you need like food at the restaurant or 5 minutes away by car at any supermarket. I would definitely come again. Friends' groups, however, shall watch out for the showering situation 😂 it is more like a romantic getaway 😉 but I still had lots of fun with my friend there. Ah the Seilbahn is 5 minutes away aaand Hallstaat is about an hour, although I don't recommend leaving the heaven of this place and going to the touristic horror of Hallstaat.

Breakfast room was so cozy and every room had a table reserved. The hotel is close to hiking paths. You can enjoy stars at night and do astro photography there (complete darkness and beautiful sky).
