Conveniently located in Castro city centre, 30 metres from the town's main square, Hotel Esmeralda offers comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi. A daily Continental breakfast is included. This was as a nice hotel room with breakfast. Check in was quick. We also had free parking. Breakfast was the usual fare for Chilean places.

I arrived with an upset stomach (first trip to South America and not part of the lucky 50% to be spared traveler's diarrhea), and they took great care of me. I fell in love with Roberto's tea room, the view of the bay and his story. The food was also super tasty, tan rico! I planned to stay there two nights but ended up staying a week. My favorite place in Ancud!
