The hotel is lovely, the room and the bathroom are clean, the bed is very comfortable. The staff is kindly and helpful. There is free parking place and a direct public transport connection to Salzburg. The breakfast is great. The check-in and check-out is easy and fast.

This traditional Bavarian hotel in Berchtesgaden offers great views of the Bavarian Alps and direct access to the Roßfeld ski slopes and local hiking routes. Free WiFi is available in the whole hotel.... The hotel and rooms are beautiful. There is a restaurant with amazing food. Less than 10 minutes from the Eagles Nest bus stop. Everyone working here was amazing, and they have a wonderful dog Lily. They are quick to respond to any requests. Parking is easy. Breakfast (hot and cold) is a spread of fresh breads, eggs, meats, cheeses, fruit, cereal, etc. They even gave a fresh Tulip for mother's day! I would absolutely recommend for any trip to Berchtesgarden.

We booked last minute and just so happened the only room available was the one with a balcony. Room is spacious. Very nice and very clean. Getting to the room is a little inconvenient – one has to get into the building, up the stairs, then through a door, get outside to a hallway connecting to another building (exposed to the weather), then up the stairs again. My poor husband had to drag our luggage up and about, opening many doors and climbing many steps to get to our room. I would not recommend [the balcony room] for older couples. The breakfast is absolutely delightful and abundant. The hosts and staff are very pleasant. The Gasthof also has a dinner menu serving delicious foods. We actually made sure that we came back for dinner. It is recommended to make reservations (for dinner) as the restaurant is popular with locals. Good location – it is only 20 minutes or so by car to Salzburg.
