Featuring a garden and a patio, Hotel Europa offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and cable TV in central Alausi. Laundry and luggage storage services are provided. The train station is 300 metres away. I'm trying to think of things I didn't like about my two night stay at the Europa but I can't. Everything was fine and this place is therefore amazing value for money. Big room, big, comfy bed, hot shower, private parking. It was all fine. The place is located on the main street of Alausi but the room was amazingly quiet. Breakfast is very good and the staff are friendly and helpful. If you are going to Alausi I doubt you'll find better than here.

Our room with the warm fluffy sheets was private and the shared bathroom was very nice. We normally stay away from shared bathrooms but it was not a problem. Nice room upstairs to hang out and play cards. Breakfast was wonderful. Walking distance to everything. The recommended day trip on a local bus to Guano was a highlight for us. We went to the city museum and met Baltizar -The last iceman. We had watched his video on YouTube so we were happily surprised to meet him in person. Irma also recommend Anita's Hornado restaurant. It was very good and a wonderful local experience.

Very friendly and helpful staff, we felt very welcome from check in. The rooms are very comfortable and we had a room with a wonderful view of Chimborazo. As others have said there is some noise from the road but nothing at all that disturbed our sleep. There are some very nice common areas for guests to spend time in. And we were told that we were welcome to make use of the kitchen. It is in a good location next to the historical centre. There is also a market 2 minutes away where you can buy traditional Ecuadorian plates for very good prices.
