This 3-star hotel offers room service, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. Guests can make use of a bar. The grounds were stunning. The property was clean, cozy and homey. The staff - everyone from reception, bartender to owner - were warm, welcoming, and hospitable. We enjoyed our best meal of our trip at their bar, The Platform Bar. We spent a few hours on our final evening of our trip enjoying some wine, cocktails, and a full meal in the cozy snug by the fireplace.

The Ashbourne House Hotel is located a 15-minute drive from Dublin Airport and the beach at Balbriggan. It offers individually designed rooms, free parking and an award-winning fine-dining restaurant.

Rooms at the hotel include a private bathroom with a hairdryer and free toiletries. They also include a TV, work desks, tea/coffee-making facilities and most rooms have free Wi-Fi access. We had only one night in the Dublin area because of a change in our flight schedule. We decided to spend 12 hours at the Ashbourne House Hotel and we were very glad we did. There was a short and cheap bus ride to and from the airport to Ashbourne, or you can use Uber for around 50 euros. The town of Ashbourne is quiet and clean and the hotel is very nice. The food in the restaurant and the service in the bar are both excellent. We recommend this hotel highly.

By the River Boyne, the friendly Castle Arch offers large en suite rooms, seasonal food, and free parking. Dublin is a 35-minute drive away.

All of the elegant rooms at Castle Arch Hotel have TVs and tea/coffee. Some rooms have a spa bath (subject to availability). They had a single room available on short notice after I had to unexpectedly stay overnight in the area. The shower was awesome; the bed was very comfortable. My Irish Fry breakfast was exceptional, and it was included in the price. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Trim has been on my bucket list. I didn't have enough time to explore the area due to my schedule. I will be back to do that in August, and I plan to stay here again. I was able to borrow a phone charger, too.
