Views of the lava-fields, black sand river and even Vatnajäkull Glacier can be enjoyed from the hotel. Room was nice. Check in is located in the Restaurant on the property, so it took us a few to find check in. Room was comfy. Breakfast served was good and had your American and EUR favorites: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, bread, pancakes, cookies, sandwich meat, beans(?), yogurt, coffee and juice. Cannot say anything about the view, since we arrived in the dark and left in the dark.

The owner and staff were extremely nice. They helped us a lot when my husband really needed it. We are so thankful! The hotel and cleaning were the best.

Opened in July 2018, Hótel Kría is situated in Vík. Among the various facilities are a garden and a bar. There is a restaurant. The black sand beaches begin about 5 minutes' walk from the hotel.

All rooms have a modern interior design and are fully equipped with complimentary WiFi, communal area, LCD, Satellite TV, hairdryer, clothing rack, extra pillows, phone, soap, and a kettle with tea and coffee. The rooms are fitted with a desk and a private bathroom. Amazing atmosphere, next to a beautiful valley, charming. Breakfast had great variety, excellent cocktails at the bar.

This eco-friendly hotel, 30 minutes’ drive from Reykjavik, is surrounded by nature in the town of Ölfus. It offers free use of an outdoor wooden hot tub and arranges Icelandic horse riding tours on site. Booked the hotel almost by accident but it was a great experience. Good room, good menu, bar and all the staff were great. Don't be put off thinking it's only an equestrian hotel, it's top notch at everything but with the added bonus of a genuine Icelandic pony stable as well

Adventure Hotel Geirland is 3 km off the Route 1 Ring Road and 3 minutes’ drive from Kirkjubæjarklaustur village. All rooms offer tea/coffee facilities and views of the surrounding mountain ridge.

Some of Geirland’s cosy rooms are set in individual cottages in the garden. Free Wi-Fi is available in the main building. The rooms were sparkling clean and was very spacious and comfortable. We say northern lights from right outside of our room. Will totally stay again !

Litli Geysir Hotel is on Route 35, located only 200 metres from the world famous Geysir hot spring in Iceland’s Haukadalur Valley. It offers an in-house restaurant as well as free access to WiFi and free parking.

The Gullfoss Waterfall is a 10-minute drive from the hotel. Reykjavík city centre is a 1.5-hour drive away. We were upgraded to the Hotel Geysir next door which was fabulous. Beautiful breakfast.
