Hotel Hamar’s rooms feature minimalist modern design, heated floors and a private patio. All have private bathrooms with showers. The staff greeted us cheerfully and asked us if we wanted to see Aurora. It was really nice. The facility was better than expected with warm outside bath and sauna. There seemed to be a lot of other guests, but once we were in our room, we did not hear other rooms' noise. Great breakfast as well!!

Hótel Bifröst is set in a small university town. Its bright and spacious rooms offer private bathrooms and views of the surrounding lava fields and mountains. The location was perfect, there is a volcanic crater within walking distance, and a fabulous lake very close giving spectacular views. The decor and welcome was lovely, Natalie and her partner treated us a special valued guests. Breakfast was perfect. We will definitely recommend to friends and family to stay here when in Iceland.
