In second place and nearly as good, bed and pillows, also very much taken care of, which is appreciated to me as one of the most important things when you overnight. Completely new hotel. Silent. Adjustable AC to your exact wish. I would deem it kind as a swiss standard yet in southern Italy and for a particularly achievable price. Above all expectations.

It was very comfortable. We loved that they also had extra pillows in the closet, which were thick by the way. The staff was also friendly and explained everything we needed to know about our stay excellently. He even booked us a table at a nearby restaurant, which we really appreciated, which included a 10% discount because we were staying at Hotel San Pio. We will definitely come back!

Guests can make use of a bar. We checked into the holiday home late, and the family was very accommodating, making us feel right at home. Carmella and her husband were exceptionally kind and even dropped us at the bus station early in the morning. The food prepared by Carmella was absolutely delicious. The location is excellent—just an 8-minute walk to St. Padre Pio's shrine, with the bus station conveniently located right next to it. Overall, we highly recommend this place for both the stay and the warm hospitality.

Villa Maria is an elegant Art Nouveau building set in a green area of San Menaio, 250 metres from the beach, and 500 metres from the train station. Rooms offer a garden or sea view, and suites feature a terrace. Superb and luxurious comfort in a clean and well appointed hotel. A welcome night of sprawling rest after a day's travel and a single-bed the night before. In mid October San Menaio is largely closed but Villa Maria, a stately pink mansion tucked away quietly in its luscious green garden surrounded by pines, keeps going to November. It is just 5 minutes walk to a sensational sandy beach, with a crossing over the inevitable railway line right below, so no need to detour for miles as can happen. The beach was empty apart from one fisherman and handful of walkers, and I had a blissful 4pm swim in 24 degree sunshine. Villa Maria also has a VERY good restaurant (the squid was superb, as were the maccheroncini) which rightly attracted many non-residents. Spacious car park, which is a small but appreciable asset, when one is in a big car in Italy. All at a bargain price, which may have been because I was out of season but was the best value in all of Italy so far. And i had breakfast with a fox. A great discovery and highly recommend.

Decorated in a simple Mediterranean style, accommodation at the Torre Del Porto comes with air conditioning, a kitchenette and a bathroom. Some units feature a balcony with Adriatic Sea views. Super helpful staff, we had a small issue with our tire that they fixed, and they gave us great directions to the forest and where we might find orchids. We appreciated the higher quality of food and some vegetarian options. Great place for a couple days, or a week's vacation.

This hotel has a wonderful beach and swimming pool. Great location in the middle of the old city. And such a great breakfast every morning! What else can you wish for?!
