Opened in April 2014 after a thorough renovation, this ryokan features spacious guest rooms surrounded by tranquil mountains. It is a 7-minute walk to Takachiho Shrine and a 6-minute drive to Takachiho-kyo Gorge. Guests can use WiFi property-wide for free. We absolutely loved our stay here! Staff were amazing, and we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was beautifully appointed and comfortable with a private onsen. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and we hope to return again soon.

We had a beautiful, big room (for 3 people) with big comfortable beds. Good location and a parking lot. Breakfast had a big choice of different things.

I wanted to communicate in my broken Japanese and they were very patient with me (though, they could speak English just fine). The room size is reasonable. Everything appears clean. LOVE the Japanese bathroom where you can actually sit down and shower. The hotel is located next to Miyazaki station. If you drive, the hotel’s parking lot is behind the building and cost ¥1000 to park 24 hours (12PM - 12PM). If you need a quick run to your room or to check-in, the parking in front of the hotel is free for 20 minutes.

There was a large fridge with freezer and a microwave, in addition to a large TV and spacious desk. The most unique perks about this place though were the free meal and the massage chair. After a long day of biking, both were appreciated.
