Opened in April 2014 after a thorough renovation, this ryokan features spacious guest rooms surrounded by tranquil mountains. It is a 7-minute walk to Takachiho Shrine and a 6-minute drive to Takachiho-kyo Gorge. Guests can use WiFi property-wide for free. Loved this accomodation private onsen and sauna were a treat. Dinner and breakfast were traditional Japanese and delicious. Were able to purchase wine on property which was reasonably priced and locally made. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Great place to stay

Free wired internet access is provided. Very nice hotel. Great location, just next to the JR station and Lawson downstairs. Staff were very nice. Check-in was smooth. Bathroom was surprisingly spacious with separate bathtub, shower area and toilet sections. There were a vending machine, ice machine, microwave and coin washer & dryer on our floor which was very convenient. Would love to come back!

Everything was clean and new, and the bed was so comfortable. Even the bath was nice, which I didn't expect in a container room like this. There was a large fridge with freezer and a microwave, in addition to a large TV and spacious desk. The most unique perks about this place though were the free meal and the massage chair. After a long day of biking, both were appreciated.
