The amazing Kaiseki dinner and breakfasts that Makis mother presents every night are a wonderful way to experience traditional japanese food after a relaxing onsen bath. Maki was simply the best host, she even drove us up to the start of our walk trail and booked our lunchtime soba restaurant. The local area is breathtaking even in late autumn / early winter and a walk around the shrines is enough to fill a very pleasant day, Wel ove you Maki and we will be back!

It’s so close to restaurants, convenient store and the Hakuba bus station. The most I like is the owner of the property treated us like the family or I think more than family. They picked up and dropped us from and to the bis station, showed the restaurant, and dropped and pickup us to ski resort. The owner, Chikako san helped us to find Ski school for our children who experienced snow for the first time. The other co owner, Koji san even helped us to talk to Ski school that didn’t speak good English. We will definitely come back again.

The drive up to the location was gorgeous, the host picked me up from Tsumago and after my stay dropped me off to the Nagiso train station. While the host speaks limited english, he is a wonderful conversationalist and a joy to talk to. The accommodation itself is very spacious, the interior design beautiful, and the onsen baths were at really comfortable temperature for me. While I was unable to eat all of the food they served (I have a small stomach, not their fault), I really wish i could have, because I think it was one of the best meals I've ever had. I will definitely come back some day.

The outdoor onsen is exceptional & fabulous. Loved the vibe of wandering around the hotel and eating meals in our yukata. Food was great and selection was impressive. Total relaxing stay! I failed to pre-book the shuttle as our plans changed last minute but the driver allowed us to hop on at the train station which was a lifesaver! Shuttle is necessary as there's limited transportation and a cab ride is very expensive.

Excellent budget hotel with options for rooms / single / capsule style accomodation right in center of city and next to station.
Close to the train station, good budget hotel in a town that is expensive for accommodation and food.
Good location and good price/quality
Good location, good price to value, clean, comfortable living room and bedroom, TV with netflix, wifi is good.
The offered breakfast for Y1,000 was fantastic. Filling and a range of Japanese breakfast offerings. Location was good, with a bus stop right on the corner of the hotel location. Bus could take us into the city centre or up to the snow lifts but stops at 5pm, keep that in mind. Host was fantastic, always friendly and helpful service.
location is great, clean facilities, good price/performance ratio, easy to reach host
Small functional room, for good price. Great location, 2 minute walk to train station. Great breakfast.
What a great surprise. Excellent location, few minutes walk from both bus n train station. We could store all our luggage before check in with ease n come back later. Bedrooms were surprisingly big for a Japanese budget hotel. Enough space even for our snowboard bags. Note that im talking about Japanese standards. Double bed was small but enough for me n my husband ( we are not super big n tall). Everything worked fine and they also have free bikes for rental which is very convenient.
It's a hotel for the budget-conscious, so expectations to be adjusted accordingly. Helpful staff who promptly attended to some AC troubles. It's clean, though very dated. Quite comfortable stay though at a very good price. Good location to Matsumoto Castle and Nawate-dori.
