We were lucky to also have a view of Mt Fuji visible the following morning. It was a full immersive experience. We slept in kimono and on the tatami. A good night sleep!

The rooms are typical ryoken style with tatami flooring, shoji doors and a comfortable futon for sleeping. Each room has a view of Mt Fuji if you are lucky to see her like I was. There is an onsen for bathing and they provide a yukata robe to wear. The location is nearby to the hop-on/hop-off bus and right beside lake Kawaguchiko which was the perfect place for photographing Mt Fuji unobstructed. The breakfast spread was amazing traditional Japanese style and they gave me a lift back to the station after check-out. I loved every element of my stay!
