Chami Villa Bentota is located in Bentota just 50 metres from the beach and 100 metres from Bentota Railways Station. There are no words to describe the hospitality and kindness, we were welcomed like part of the family. We felt like Chami Villa was second home, it was our first accomodation in Sri Lanka and we miss it already. As I told you, I would give you a 100, but I can only give you a 10. The property is beautiful, rooms are large, very clean with good air-conditioning. Breakfast was abundant and so tastefull. We were 4, 2 adults and 2 children and the triple room had more than enough space for us, the big bed was large enough for 3 to sleep in. When my daughter fell and got wound on her legs, he brought us a cream to help heel it. When we went to the beach, they made sure we had everything we needed. Last but not least, Maya the dog was so charming and our children did not want to leave Chami the last they because of her and they keep mentioning her all the time.

Such a warm welcome in Sisi’s Place, a family run hotel and it feels exactly like that.After the craziness of Colombo it was a breath of fresh air. The breakfast was amazing and so much of it that Sisi suggested we take the rest to our room to put in the fridge for lunch. It’s also very well situated, easy to walk to the shops, the beach and the restaurants. If you miss your train you’ve only got yourself to blame because it’s right on top of the station ! However, that’s what gives this particular location so much charm. There are literally restaurants on the side of the track, it really is something quite special. I would go back in a heartbeat. Also the beach is huge so you’re not at all on top of each other .

It was our best stay on our 2 weeks trip in Sri Lanka and we were in 9 different hotels. The room and bathroom were very clean an a lot of space. We can ask for everything. We had a nice view of the lagoon. The Hotel has an amazing ambience. And all people are very friendly and helpful. In compare to others you get very tasty food and drinks for a good price. Highly recommended!

This is especially good for family with kids (like us, we are five )because these are two separate bungalows with a nice garden.

I had a wonderful experience at the VHB Bentota. Property is clean & has a fantastic old time charm. Room was clean, high quality & very comfortable. The bed was super comfy. Staff was very hospitable and there for every need of mine. The food was absolutely amazing & best meal I had while in VHB. I will always stay at this location when traveling to Bentota. I highly recommend this bungalow for anyone visiting downsouth Sri Lanka.

Featuring an outdoor pool and a beautifully-landscaped garden, Villa 80 offers homely and comfortable accommodation with free Wi-Fi access in the entire property. It was a wonderful vacation! We stayed in this wonderful place in September. Henry, the landlord, made our vacation more than 50% better. We had a variety of local breakfasts, as well as our usual omelets and fried eggs, fresh fruit every day, and yogurt (we even agreed with Henry to buy Kourda on one of the days). We never ate dinner anywhere else but at his place (believe me, we tried it, but it was tastier at our villa). Thanks to the fact that we got together, we got discounts on our dinners, and we saved a lot of money. We weren't forced to use any unnecessary services, which is quite rare in Sri Lanka. The villa's grounds are diverse, with various animals such as peacocks, parrots, mongooses, and flying dogs. At night, the stars and fireflies appear as if in a cartoon. I also celebrated my birthday here, with a festive dinner featuring barbecue, a cake, music, and karaoke. I also tried lobster for the first time. The people who work there are extremely friendly and kind. It feels like we're all a big family. - Here's a brief overview of what I found most important: The area is large and green, with easy access to the road and tuk-tuk rides to the city center or the beach. There's no noise from the road, and no renovations or other annoying sounds. Everything is clean. The rooms are cleaned approximately once every three days, sometimes more frequently. They provide towels, bed linen, a hairdryer, and Wi-Fi. But we bought sim cards at the airport, sometimes the wifi didn't work well, but that's the case everywhere. It's better to bring your own shower gel and shampoo or buy them at the supermarket. There's a kitchen and cutlery. There's clean drinking water in the cooler. There's a mosquito repellent and coils. They'll help you with any issues. The service is excellent. The only minor drawback is the limited storage space. You can also get massages, but we didn't try it.
