Parking was right out front and check in was easy. Arjan, at the front desk, bent over backwards to be accommodating. His recommendation for dinner at the Monte Giove Italian restaurant, just 3 minutes walk away, was spot on. Our room was on the first floor. We were hoping for a room on the ground floor but they were were all taken. The room was good sized for the price. The mattress was perfect and the bathroom was spotlessly clean, as was everything. We even had a view of the historic Windmill across the street. BONUS!!!!! Arjan gave us a menu to choose from for breakfast, to be submitted by 1900h for the next morning. We came down for breakfast at 0830 and breakfast was served a minute or two later by Arjan's son. The presentation was picture perfect and the taste was even better! I cannot recommend Hotel Norg highly enough. Spend a few nights and enjoy this special gem that is Norg, Netherlands.

De Stobbe is a family-run hotel located in the village of Ruinen, only 15 minutes' drive from Hoogeveen. The hotel has an indoor pool, a massage salon and sauna facilities. It offers cosy accommodation with box-spring beds and modern bathrooms. The staff are very friendly and the hotel itself is extremely comfortable. Food is delicious, plus a great breakfast. Great size swimming pool and sauna. Lovely location with plenty of walks. And conveniently situated for public bus transport to nearby towns. I plan to return for longer next time.
