Situated only 10 minutes’ walk from central Ohakune and with beautiful views of Mt Ruapehu from most rooms, Ohakune Court Motel offers accommodation with an en suite bathroom and a flat-screen cable... This was one of the cheaper places we stayed so our expectations weren't high. But there was nothing major I could fault on our stay, being the owners were friendly, helpful and also easy to find. Kitchen had all the gear to cook our meals, shower was good and the hot tub in the courtyard was perfect at the end of the day.

Located between the start and finish points of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Tongariro Holiday Park features a hot tub, barbecue facilities and rooms with either a balcony or a patio. The park was very close to Tongariro National Park, which made things very convenient for our hiking plans. The communal kitchen was clean and had nice equipment, the dishes they provided made cooking meals easy, and they provided the room with a minifridge that helped as well. It was perfect for campers and hikers who are hoping to have a comfy bed after tent camping or hiking a lot!
