Hof Gorei Resort is a peaceful getaway located on Samal Island, offering cozy bungalows surrounded by tropical gardens. The resort features an outdoor pool and stunning views of the Davao Gulf and Mount Apo. We arrived a day earlier than anticipated, they were generous enough to get us settled in a different room and give us 5 star treatment. The owner came to our room to personally inspect it. We stayed here because we couldn't find any availability at pearl-farm, which I had stayed at a few years back and loved. Now I don't understand why anyone would stay at pearl-farm over this place. This is a better resort, hands-down. The food is much better, the service is much better, and it is far prettier than pearl-farm. If it hadn't been for me being sick and desparately needing wifi from bed, the stay would have been perfect.
