With free WiFi, this 3-star aparthotel offers a 24-hour front desk and a lift. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. Warm and welcoming staff including the ones at the front office Uber Bolt services are not prevalent in Sao Miguel islands, so if need be they can arrange a taxi which is slightly expensive as compared to Porto and Lisbon. But bus stop is also available right outside the property. Spacious rooms facing the sea which was amazing with sun beds also provided in the balcony including small table and chairs. So, when greeted with good sunny weather it feels excellent staying in the balcony. Bathroom a bit small but wasn’t a problem at all for us Portable heaters are available in the room and we had to ask for one more since end of February felt too cold to us even though islands are a bit on the warmer side as compared to mainland Portugal. Good breakfast every morning with milk juices yougurt, cornflakes and likes, cheese ham butter and different breads.

My Story Hotel Vila Nova’s guest rooms are decorated in blue and grey tones. They include extra long beds and a private bathroom with bathtub and shower. Suites also feature a minibar. The location was perfect, in walking distance from the airport, which can be felt througout the stay as you could frequently see airplanes landing or taking off but due to the soundproof windows this is not as bothersome (it was kind of cool actually). The swimming pool was nice! (we also had one plane fly directly above us as we swam) - there are like 10 flights a day and only during the day, being a city airport, there are no flights during the night - so you don't have to fear that a plane will wake you up mid-night. The swimming pool was rarely occupied (we were staying mid-may) the initial dip was a bit cold but it got better fast enough. The staff was super nice, especially the bartender we met on our arrival. The room was nice and clean, with water and capsule coffee being refreshed daily (a regular and a decaf per person per day), the breakfast buffet had a wide enough selection so we could mix up our breakfast across our stay (and always it was nice). All in all a perfect stay, I can definitely recommend this hotel. 😊 PS: the maracuja Kima is a must try! (available at the bar)

Located in Horta and with Praia da Conceição reachable within 500 metres, Largo Bispo Boutique Hostel provides a shared lounge, allergy-free rooms, free WiFi and a terrace. Featuring a garden, the 3-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. Certain rooms at the property include a balcony with a city view. Everything was super clean! A lot of details everywhere in the house. The kitchen was very well equipped. Tea and coffee were free. The mattress was comfortable and the shower hot with nice water pressure. There are lockers in the dorm to store your stuff. The Hostel is operated by a mother and her son. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Very good value for money! One of the best places I've been too.

Some rooms have a private balcony, all rooms at Hotel Beira Mar come with LCD TV. Each has a modern bathroom. In my opinion is the best location to stay in, wonderful view, don't hesitate to take the Seaview, you can actually hear the waves from the room. Look no further!
