Hotel Madeira is a 3-star hotel in Funchal's city centre, close to shops and restaurants. It offers free WiFi access. Each room has a private bathroom with walk-in shower and hairdryer. The location was perfect. In the heart of the town and at the same time easy to drive out and in.

Hotel Catedral offers elegantly decorated rooms in Funchal’s city centre. It features panoramic views of the area. It also offers free WiFi, as well as free parking. We had quite a lot of luggage, but the hotel kindly allowed us to check in earlier than the official time. The view of the city and the square in front of Funchal’s cathedral was absolutely wonderful! The reception staff were attentive and welcoming. Breakfast was simple yet tasty, included in the price, and had a lovely atmosphere. The hotel team was always ready to help – for example, if you need a kettle, you can just ask at the reception. I would happily stay a few more nights in this hotel, enjoying its atmospheric rooms with beautiful views of the narrow streets of old Funchal.

What truly stood out was the amazing staff at Dorisol Mimosa Studio Hotel. Friendly and always ready to help, they made us feel like part of the family. A special shout-out to the efficient room service. Every morning, our room was expertly cleaned while we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, setting the perfect tone for the day. In a nutshell, our stay was a solid 5-star experience. Boasting views of the Atlantic Ocean, Florasol Residence Hotel is a 12-minute drive from Funchal city centre. It has a large outdoor pool and offers self-catering rooms and apartments. Very good breakfast, really big rooms, lovely staff. It was a bit chilly in the room when we arrived, but they immediatly put an extra heater in for us. We really appreciated that, thank you so much. Nice restaurants just around the corner.
