The hotel is quiet, clean and located in the middle of the tourist area in the city and opposite the port. The hotel has a side view of the sea. The rooms are cleaned daily and they provide you with the missing soap, conditioner, coffee and tea. The staff are cooperative and the hotel is air conditioned and has a refrigerator in the room and the hotel provides you with a bottle of water. The staff are cooperative whether at the reception or room service. There is also a bidet in the bathroom which is very good addition. Ponta Delgada is wonderful and there are many tourist attractions in it. You need to rent a car to tour the island or rely on tours from tourist companies and their prices are acceptable.

On the southern coast of Sao Miguel Island, Vinha da Areia Beach Hotel is a cozy, comfortable, family friendly hotel. It is on the beach and the marina. You can go to the beach and book a boat trip/tour or ferry to the islet in the same day. The rooms are large for Europe, more the size of the rooms you find in the United States. The bed linens are nice and soft!

The Apartamentos Turísticos Nossa Senhora Da Estrela is located in the centre of Lagoa, a 7-minute drive from Ponta Delgada. It was a huge apartment with 2 baths. The desk girl was lovely, she took care of all our needs.
