Laurent the host was so so welcoming and lovely. He showed us around the beautiful property and pointed out all the AMAZING nature that was around the lake over a lovely rosé. The location is exceptional and for those who love nature it is perfect as well as visiting the Dordgne region and local towns. All from the property you can enjoy watching birds of prey, herons, hear frogs, crickets, otters, watch ice clouds. And Laurent mentioned that deer come as well. The Gite had everything we needed…we are vegans so in France cooking for yourself is essential, but we had no issues with that and the bedroom was comfortable and shower and towels were great. We will definitely be back on our hunt for our dream house in France.

The apartment was brand new! It is spacious, very clean and nicely decorated. It had everything we could possibly need and more. Our host was very helpful and extremely pleasant. We will definitely visit again. The parking is also private and safe, which is a great bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our very comfortable stay...thank you!

We had a wonderful stay. Charlie and Carolyn were exceptional hosts. They made us feel like "god" in France. When we arrived we found some drinks, bread, cheese and more to get us started and make us feel welcome. The house had everything we needed and was very cosy decorated. We had fun at the pool and could order a drink at the private bar. We loved the peaceful environment and our hosts had lots of recommendations for places to visit. We definatly recommend staying here!

Really chuffed with the accommodation as a whole. Wish we had longer to stay than 3 nights. Plenty of plates, crockery etc... Nice big fridge Beds and bedding comfy Our girls loved the bunk beds Plenty of space for a big family to stay without getting under each others feet. Accommodation was clean and very tidy Perfect location for us Heating in every room, as needed Shower was good. Dark skies so glorious star gazing opportunities Lovely view of the river out the back of the house Very quiet and peaceful.

Very comfortable with every creature comfort catered for. The hosts even phoned the restaurant to make us a reservation for lunch. There was lots to keep our teenagers busy. Beds were really comfy.

The gite was spacious, quiet, private, comfortable and impeccably clean. The bathroom was lovely, the shower was gorgeous. The kitchen is very well equipped, with a large fridge. We slept really well in lovely sheets and a warm duvet. You can park just at the front door, ideal. The wifi worked very well. It was too cold to make use of the garden, the pool or the hot tub but hopefully we'll come back one day.
