It was hidden out of the way which gave us a beautiful view of the stars at night. It was so quiet and dark! The property was lovely inside and the welcome pack was a lovely surprise. Thankyou so much for our stay!

Cottage was great - very well appointed and kitted out. Housekeeping was excellent. Location was good but the wintry weather made leaving on the last day difficult. Short walk to Esk Valley line station made access without car to places easy. Cottage is located in a very beautiful valley. We would definitely consider staying here again.

What was there not to like about this stunning place. I had booked this last minute at a spectacular price. Keys were easy to collect, opened the door and was greeted by the cleanest place i have stayed. the bedrooms, space available, kitchen and bathroom where stunning in appearance. Bed was very comfy and the living room sofa was lovely also. Now the bathroom, after a long 8.5 hour drive, there was a beautiful bathtub to soak your sorrows away. A beautiful shower area, and if the thoughts became to much :D you had a TV in the wall to keep yourself distracted. And most importantly, the Sauna... this was just the tip of the iceberg for me. Stunning and would stay again for sure.

The property is a great size and was perfect for us two adults and a 7 year old. We used the property for our evening meal, sleeping and breakfast. The cooking facilities were great, just like being at home. The oven, boiler and shower were very easy to use. The tv in the living room had everything our daughter wanted to watch whilst tea was cooking.

The host was very friendly, answered all our queries quickly and was very flexible when we were court in the middle of a storm during the end of our stay and it was dangerous to travel back home. The property was very comfortable, warm (in very cold weather), in a lovely peaceful location and was a good place to come back to after a busy day of working.

We needed a quiet and relaxing break and found the perfect spot. Secluded and wild feeling but within easy reach of anything you want or need. We loved the peace and tranquility, a proper escape from the hustle and bustle of home.

The area is lovely. Surrounded by fields surrounded by beautiful countryside. Amazing views. Very quiet and peaceful The person in charge was very nice. Very approachable. She came to visit us on the 2nd from last day to say that she'd been on holiday and that she was just hoping that we'd had a great time. See someone who cares and it's really important to her that her guests were happy. Would definitely go again

    The location was perfect. A beautiful little village nestled away with stunning views yet with every amenity you could want - 2 great pubs, a tea room, co-op, playground and a train station direct to Whitby! The cottage itself was so quaint and cosy, modern yet traditional. Comfortable beds, everything you need, nice and clean!

    Perfect for a family of 4, kids didn’t mind sharing a double bed. Very spacious, nice and quiet little village with lovely views. The cottage was very clean when we arrived, a lovely welcome pack on the table. Lovely pub in the village also. Perfect if you wanna get away from it and just relax.
