We had a great time. If you want the simple life for a few days without any distrachtion, this is the right place. Yet we had everything we really needed. We enjoyed the fascinating nature, the landscape and the view of the sea every morning. Our hosts John and Jackie are friendly and uncomplicated. We will probably come again.

The home is extremely elegant and modern. There is attention to detail in all aspects, like fresh flowers, walk-in wardrobe sensor lights, kitchen gadgets. Ample space, all bedrooms have double beds. The sauna is a lovely surprise. The view of the ocean is an absolute delight. I would recommend this property and the Isle of Lewis as a place to reset in beautiful surroundings. The ferry trip from Ullappool to Stornoway was also an additional bonus to our holiday. The weather on the island is changeable, so please always have padded jackets and rain coats.

The location above the bay was fantastic and also well situated to reach all of the sights on Lewis in a reasonable time. Trips to Harris took a bit longer at about an hour, but were still easily manageable. We had a beautiful view from the kitchen window and overall loved the kitchen, which was unbelievably well-equipped. We were also very comfortable in the living room as well as the dining room. The baths and the bedrooms were clean, comfy and roomy.

The location of the cottage is absolutely fabulous! Set right next to the Black Houses, close to the beach, at the start of the cliff walking path. The community shop is easily reached by car... The house is wonderful, cozy, spacious, calming, peaceful and perfect for a group of 4-6 travelers. The photographs in the house are very special bringing the outside to the inside and the pictures of the past connect right with modern comfortable times. The kitchen has everything you need, the stove is fabulous. From the windows you can see amazing sunsets and cute sheep. Highly recommended!
